Health care reform is like this.

And now your host, Paranoia.

“Explain to me what a ‘good hurt’ is.” – (NSFW Audio)

Health care reform in the United States is exactly that. A good hurt. One on side, it’s Universal Health Care. That’s fucking awesome. It’s about time we took a lesson from the Canadians and their mildly socialized ways and centralized health care. On the other side, a lot of us are going to get railed inside out. We’re going to be able to taste our own shit in the back of our throats. How’s that for some strong imagery? Look, I don’ t know quite enough to really be able to take a good hard look at the health care reform, but I know my government and I know the debt we already carry and the over-spending and bullshit that is in included in every fucking bill that passes through the House. Lawmakers don’t actually give a shit about us, all they care about is the money being stuffed in their pockets. We all know that.

The hurt is higher taxes and once again, the Middle Class are the ones that are going to get right proper fucked by this bill. Here’s the way I see it. Government run health care is going to be more expensive than most private health care providers but provide a lower level of care, basically an expansion of the handout programs they have going now. So let’s say a middle class worker is paying $4000 a year for private health insurance and the government is charging $6000 a year. Now, the middle class working can just afford the $4000 a year, but $6000 would be too much. So what does the private health care provider do? Raise their costs. Why? Because they can. And who is going to let them raise their costs? Why, the cronies on capital hill stuffing their pockets with your deductibles. So suddenly, in order to get the care that he is used to the middle class worker then has to pay more than he can afford, but he can’t afford it and he makes too much to qualify for any kind of handouts from the government like the lower class and those at the newly expanded poverty line. Suddenly, the middle class worker is basically fucked. Not only that, but in 2014 the penalties kick in – monitored by the IRS – and the middle class worker is paying fines. Not to mention the rise in taxes.

Just to state the obvious, the poor will be getting the same assistance and handouts they are getting now – except just more of them so they can keep pumping out welfare babies and they’ll be able to buy new rims with their savings. The rich will be able to of course afford health care on their own, even though they will be paying at a higher tax rate. So it’s the middle class that will be squeezed, as with all government programs.

Here’s the good news for the middle class though. Tax credits for small business owners. No more coverage denial due to high risk or pre-existing conditions. Not to mention your kids can stay on your insurance until they are 26 now. Wait, that’s not good news. That just means that lazy bastard won’t be leaving the basement anytime soon. Get a fucking job kid.

Here’s the part of this whole thing that is like a naked bull-ride, you will get penalized for choosing NOT to be insured. Huh? What happened to the free will on that? Just because the uninsured are a liability for businesses? Well, then make it so businesses don’ t have to hire the uninsured or people who will refuse coverage. But to say that people must have coverage or face penalties from the IRS is a bit on the socialist sail boat don’t you think? That’s not to say that many socialist ideals wouldn’t work pretty good in this country, but that’s a different conversation for a different day.

So in the end, when I look at Health Care reform and all it’s going to do for the country as an ideal – it’s a good idea. But no matter how good the idea is, it’s gonna fucking burn burn burn while being implemented. It’s going to be expensive, it’s going to be confusing and a lot of ignorant mother fuckers are going to be angry at things they fail to understand. I suggest getting as informed as possible, try to follow the money trail and you’ll understand what this health care bill is really all about. Paranoia out.
