Here at Every Other Thursday, the dads and I have a friendly wager going on as it relates to our knowledge (or in some cases, the lack thereof) around the NFL.
The premise is simple, pick the winner each week as well as the point total for the Monday night game just in case of a tie breaker. A point is awarded for each right selection.
Here’s the standings through last week (we started week 8):
Curtis – 20
Rich – 20
David B – 17
Don – 16
Tim – 16
Mike – 14
David G – 10
Paul K – 9
Scott – 7
Chad, Charlie, Joe, John and Paul R are DFL (Dead $@#@& Last) due to non-selections for the past two weeks.
Bonus beers to Curtis, who in week 9, picked every winner and was four points under from the Monday night score.
We’ll post updates each week and at the end of the season (post playoffs, Superbowl, etc.) crown the victorious as the Armchair QB Champ.
I totally cheated. I entered my week 9 picks when I was entering my week 10 picks. So that means that section was blank for a week. Which Don didn't notice. Or, Don read my picks wrong and is really bad at math cause going back and looking at my picks they aren't perfect so that means that it must have been a tear in the time space continuum creating an alternate universe where I had perfect picks and that must have been where Don went to look at the picks before posting this. Ah, that explains it. Don can't manage to stay in this Universe. And the HAT PLAYS.
