There were no coaches, so I had to volunteer if she was to play.<br><br>Of the half dozen or so teams, I was the only one flying solo as coach. Fortunately a couple of the other dads helped. Of the half dozen or so teams, I was the only one flying solo as coach. Fortunately a couple of the other dads helped. While I've been an assistant coach a few times since, there's nothing like real pressure when you're head coach — even if it is with a bunch of kindergarteners.

And, as you said, it's a great learning experience and just have fun.
